Overview

Amakoro Songa Lodge is situated in the Kinigi Sector of Musanze District, located in the northern part of Rwanda. You have the option to reach us either by road or via helicopter transfer.

If you choose to travel by road, Amakoro is 103km away from central Kigali, which takes approximately 3 hours. Alternatively, a helicopter transfer from Kigali International Airport to Musanze Aerodrome takes just 45 minutes, followed by a 20-minute drive to the lodge. We take great pride in our dedication to conservation, sustainability, and community engagement.

Each guest who stays with us plants a tree to honor their visit, and we are equally proud that the labor for our lodge’s construction was sourced from the local community. Currently, 90% of all staff are community members, reflecting its strong belief that success is deeply rooted in community involvement.
