Are you planning your safari?

Let us help you create the right choice.

Going on a safari in Tanzania offers an unparalleled adventure. However, it is crucial to remember to secure travel insurance as a priority. Whether you are observing a cunning leopard or traversing rugged terrain, travel insurance safeguards against medical emergencies, unplanned changes in your itinerary, and other potential disruptions that could affect your journey.

A robust travel insurance policy provides reassurance by covering medical incidents, trip cancellations, and various unforeseen circumstances. This safety net is particularly vital in remote regions where access to healthcare and other essential services may be limited. With comprehensive travel insurance, you can immerse yourself in the excitement of the safari, confident that you are shielded from unexpected challenges.

Zanzibar Mandatory Travel Insurance

Starting from October 1st, 2024, anyone traveling to Zanzibar must secure The Zanzibar Mandatory Travel Insurance, even if you already have your own travel insurance. It is essential for each traveler to apply for this insurance ahead of time. Upon payment of USD 44 per person, you will receive a QR code that must be presented upon your arrival.

This mandatory travel insurance provides essential coverage, including emergency medical expenses, repatriation costs (both for medical needs and in the unfortunate event of a death), personal accident coverage, and protection against baggage delays, theft, or loss. Additionally, it covers legal expenses and personal liabilities, ensuring you are well-protected during your trip.

If you find yourself in Zanzibar on October 1st, 2024, you can rest easy knowing that the new regulations will not apply to you, and you will not need to obtain the Zanzibar Mandatory Travel Insurance.
