World famous Danish author Karen Blixen and her Swedish husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke owned the original farmhouse, and the cottages have been designed to reflect its history in elegant style. Located just half a mile from the Karen Golf and Country Club, its guests can enjoy golfing, tennis, squash as well as other activities. The Coffee Garden is nestled on the 5 acres of land with huge hundred-year-old trees and a beautiful garden with varieties of blooming flowers and a large population of birds.

All of the cottages have high-beam ceilings with fireplaces, wood and mazeras stone floors, and also a verandah for relaxing while enjoying the birds, butterflies and flowers of the garden. Each bedroom has a large bathroom with its own shower and bath. Three cottages have two private suites with a separate dressing room.  A private swimming pool and garden bar are available for a relaxing afternooon.
