Day 1: Arrival / transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will be met by our driver Guide and transfer to the lodge in Arusha which takes approximately 1h30m, settle in ready to start your safari in the morning. On the way you will see people from different communities and culture conducting their normal daily activities. You will arrive the lodge in good time to check-in, freshen up and rest a bit before dinner. If time allows, a complimentary town tour to explore Arusha town and visit a local market can be an added good experience.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will depart lodge with picnic lunch and head to Tarangire National Park. This lovely park has a large concentration of elephants and the highest number of breeding bird species. Tarangire River, is full of wildlife ranging from a variety of birds species, herbivores and of course a number of predators species. The park is also known to have one of the biggest elephant’s populations and that provides a good chance to observe interaction among the elephant family.

You will have lunch in the park’s picnic site then proceed searching for game viewing opportunities. During the evening you will drive to the lodge in Makuyuni for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu cultural experience

Today after breakfast, you will drive to Mto wa Mbu. On the way you stop at Kigongoni for a Maasai Boma visit and learn about how a day goes by in a Maasai Boma. During your visit, you’ll get to know the villagers and participate in daily activities, like milking cows or wearing traditional dress.

After the boma visit, you will proceed to Mto wa Mbu, a small vibrant village with different culture as it is home to people from more than 120 tribes. It is wonderful to hear the vibrant variety of languages and see the distinctive customs up close in this bustling, thriving community. This village gives you the opportunity to interact with farmers, painters, as well as artisans.

You will have hot local lunch at Mto wa Mbu a very good opportunity to explore Tanzanian dishes.  You can also test a local banana beer to add a unique taste of local flavour.

After lunch, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game. In this small but very beautiful park with the dense forest, you will have the opportunity to see a lots of wild animals. The scenery here will definitely grace your eyes.

You will have lunch in the park’s designated areas before you proceed with game drive in different areas of the park, a park that is celebrated worldwide for its lions who are fond of tree branches. You will also be able to enjoy the beautiful forest of the park as you search for varieties of wildlife from birds, primates, elephants, big cats or cape buffalo.

After a productive game drive, you will drive to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game en route to Serengeti National Park

You’ll begin the day with the scenic drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way we’ll pass through the rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to encounter wild animals like baboon, vervet monkeys, warthogs and buffalo.

You will drive straight to camp check-in, have lunch and rest a bit before you go out for an afternoon game drive. Get ready to explore Serengeti as you will witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and sheer number of ungulates roaming these grassy plains before you get to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full day Serengeti National Park

Today is fully dedicated to Serengeti National Park, perhaps the world’s most enchanting and breathtaking park on the planet.

There may be few destinations that should top everyone’s bucket list to visit over a lifetime, however, Serengeti tops most of the adventure lovers. Your guide will take you through different parts of Serengeti in search for the best wildlife viewing spots.

In the afternoon you will stop around the Seronera Valley for a delicious lunch while scanning the surroundings for game viewing opportunities. Seronera Valley is kept alive by the Seronera River which attracts thousands of wild animals being the main source of water in the Central Serengeti.

Continue searching for various animals to explore from the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino (although these are rarely spotted) – to giraffe, Grant’s gazelle, impala, kongoni, Topi, and eland.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart lodge at 7:00am with picnic lunch of your choice for game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, a multiple land use as you are most likely to see both wild animals and the indigenous Maasai with their cattle living together in harmony. As you approach the crater you will have splendid striking views of the Ngorongoro highlands before you start the descent down to the floor of Ngorongoro crater, a unique self-contained ecosystem often referred as 8th natural wonder of the world.

You will spend afternoon on the floor of the crater, exploring its rich flora and fauna. Since the crater has a permanent supply of food and water, animals stay inside all year round, increasing your chances to spot as many animals as possible.

You will have lunch in the picnic designated areas before you proceed with game drive. While the game drive is a game of chances, this is the best place to see the rare endangered black rhinos as well as flamingos who tend to concentrate at Lake Magadi.

Day 7: Drive back to Arusha

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy your last moments in Northern Tanzania as you drive back to Arusha. You will stop at Mto wa mbu for a local market visit, an opportunity to meet and interact with the locals, see and learn how they conduct their normal daily activities. You will get to Arusha good time for lunch and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight back home.
