Day 1: Arrival / transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our Nature in Spirit Naturalist guide. You will transfer to Arusha by safari vehicle which takes approximately 1h30m. On the way you will see people from different communities and culture conducting their normal daily activities. Do not hesitate to tell your guide to stop the vehicle whenever you see anything interesting that you need clarity on. You will arrive the lodge in good time to check-in, freshen up and rest a bit before dinner.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will depart lodge with picnic lunch and head to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees that fill the landscape and animals next to them. Tarangire River, is full of wildlife ranging from a variety of birds species, herbivores and of course a number of predators species. The park is also known to have one of the biggest elephant’s populations and that provides a good chance to observe interaction among the elephant family.

You will have lunch in on the parks picnic site then proceed searching for game viewing opportunities. During the evening you will drive to the lodge in Makuyuni for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu cultural experience

Today after breakfast, you will drive to Mto wa Mbu. On the way you stop at Kigongoni for a Maasai Boma visit and learn about how a day goes by in a Maasai Boma. During your visit, you’ll get to know the villagers and participate in daily activities, like milking cows or wearing traditional dress.

After the boma visit, you will proceed to Mto wa Mbu, a small vibrant village with different culture as it is home to people from more than 120 tribes. It is wonderful to hear the vibrant variety of languages and see the distinctive customs up close in this bustling, thriving community. This village gives you the opportunity to interact with farmers, painters, as well as artisans.

You will have hot local lunch at Mto wa Mbu a very good opportunity to explore Tanzanian dishes.  You can also test a local banana beer to add a unique taste of local flavour.

After lunch and a little bit of rest you will take a walk through the banana and rice plantation, met the locals and learn how this people conduct their normal daily activities. After a productive day you will head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Eyasi, Hadzabe and Datoga Experience

After an early breakfast you will drive to Lake Eyasi with picnic lunch ready to encounter the African Bushmen. Your Guide will steer you through Eyasi, the shallow Lake located on the floor of the Eastern Arm of the Great Rift Valley, widely acknowledged as the father of all rifts being the oldest on Earth. This lake hosts millions of crustaceans that are very much preferred by flamingos for meals.

When you’re done on the lake, continue to meet the Hadzabe & Datoga who still hunt for food to date. You will get enough time to interact with these iconic tribes documented to live in groups of around twenty people with no hierarchy & rules since all the resources are shared. You will also get to learn how they hunt for food and equipment they use.

After time with the Hadzabe you will head Later on you will drive back to your lodge for lunch, after lunch you will have a short rest of an hour then board your vehicles to short drive of 30minutes to a breathtaking 2h30m nature walk in the jungle to the elephant caves and waterfalls of Ngorongoro forest. The walk takes you through the forest, the elephant caves and Waterfalls. The beauty of this walk is that you get to experience an entirely untouched forest.

The elephant caves found in this forest were formed many years ago when elephants used to visit the rocks and hit them continuously to obtain calcium crucial for improving their bone strength. During the walk, you may come across Dik Dik, as well as other forest creatures and an incredible variety of birds.

After the walk you will board your vehicles drive back to the lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart lodge at 7:00am with picnic lunch of your choice for game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, a multiple land use as you are most likely to see both wild animals and the indigenous Maasai with their cattle living together in harmony. As you approach the crater you will have splendid striking views of the Ngorongoro highlands before you start the descent down to the floor of Ngorongoro crater, a unique self-contained ecosystem often referred as 8th natural wonder of the world.

You will spend afternoon on the floor of the crater, exploring its rich flora and fauna. Since the crater has a permanent supply of food and water, animals stay inside all year round, increasing your chances to spot as many animals as possible.

You will have lunch in the picnic designated areas before you proceed with game drive. While the game drive is a game of chances, this is the best place to see the rare endangered black rhinos as well as flamingos who tend to concentrate at Lake Magadi.

At around 14:00 you will ascend the crater and d0 game enroute to Serengeti National Park. When you get to Serengeti you will drive to the camp for dinner and overnight. You have the freedom to spend the evening as you wish, whether you’d like to enjoy a beverage at the bar area, or retire to your room to relax as you wait for dinner.

Day 6: Full day Serengeti National Park

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s wildlife reserves. This day-long adventure is likely to be the highlight of your stay, as the wonders of the Serengeti reveal themselves. Discover the park’s iconic creatures in the early morning Game Drive. If you will be interested, you can take the opportunity to do optional balloon safari, which concludes with a champagne breakfast in the midst of the grasslands.

After the breakfast proceed with game drive, get to see the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass which provide shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. After a sumptuous buffet hot lunch proceed with the afternoon safaris through the golden grasslands. With luck, spot all of Africa’s “big five”—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo.

Day 7: Drive to the airstrip / Fly to Arusha

The end of your wildlife safari is today! However, one last adventure is left: the drive to the airstrip. This is your opportunity to find something special in the landscape as you drive to the airstrip after a relaxing breakfast as a parting memory. You will board on a flight that will land at Arusha and have lunch before you transfer to Kilimanjaro International airport for your onward.
