Day 1: Arrival / transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will be met by our driver Guide and transfer to the lodge in Arusha which takes approximately 1h30m, settle in ready to start your safari proper in the morning. On the way you will see people from different communities and culture conducting their normal daily activities. You will arrive the lodge in good time to check-in, freshen up and rest a bit before dinner. If time allows, a complimentary town tour to explore Arusha town and visit a local market can be an added good experience.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will depart lodge with picnic lunch and head to Tarangire National Park, famous for its diverse landscapes. The park is well known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and having huge herds of elephants hence providing unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. You will explore different areas of the park while searching for game viewing opportunities. You will head to Tarangire River picnic sites to have lunch while enjoying the beautiful vistas of the river and animals who come there for water. After lunch you will proceed with game drive in different areas of the park before you exit the park and head to the lodge in Makuyuni Village at around 16:30. You will get to lodge in good time to check-in and rest before dinner.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu cultural experience / Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast you will head to Mto wa Mbu village just before Lake Manyara National Park, a small vibrant village.  You will visit banana and rice plantations, meet the locals and learn how the farming is done.  You will also visit the local market to see the local vendors, what they sell and they do it daily. You will then head to a local restaurant for a hot local lunch, a good opportunity to explore Tanzanian dishes.

After lunch you will visit the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, one of the smallest but beautiful parks in the Northern part of Tanzania. The park is famously known as home to tree climbing lions however, getting to see this is a game of chance. You will visit Lake Manyara and get to see a huge number of flamingos painting the lake pink. The alkaline lake is home to crustacean that are flamingoes’ favorite meal. In the evening you will drive to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Eyasi, Hadzabe and Datoga Experience

After an early breakfast you will drive to Lake Eyasi with picnic lunch ready to encounter the African Bushmen. Lake Eyasi is a shallow Lake located on the floor of the Eastern Arm of the Great Rift Valley, acknowledged as the father of all rifts being the oldest on Earth. The lake hosts millions of crustaceans that are very much preferred by flamingos for meals.

When you’re done on the lake, you will meet Hadzabe & Datoga who still hunt for food to date. You will get enough time to interact with these iconic tribesmen documented to live in groups with no hierarchy & rules since all the resources are shared. You will also get to learn how they hunt for food and equipment they use.

After time with the Hadzabe you will drive back to your lodge for lunch and have the rest of the afternoon to yourself, you may choose to spend sometimes at the bar of retire to your room for self-time while waiting for dinner.

Day 5: Game enroute Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast you will depart the lodge at 7:30 to Serengeti National Park with game enroute. Along the way we’ll pass through the rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to encounter wild animals like baboon, vervet monkeys, warthogs, and buffalo.

As you enter Serengeti you will witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and sheer number of ungulates roaming the grassy plains of the park. You will drive straight to the camp for checking in and have lunch. After lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive in the park.

In the evening you will drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full day Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, get to explore the beauty of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s wildlife reserves. This day-long adventure is likely to be the highlight of your stay, as the wonders of the Serengeti reveal themselves. Discover the park’s iconic creatures in the early morning Game Drive. If you will be interested, you can take the opportunity to do optional balloon safari, which concludes with a champagne breakfast in the midst of the grasslands.

Get to see the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass which provide shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna.

You will go back to the camp for lunch then head out again for an afternoon game drive at around 15:00. As the dusk draws close, you will leave and drive back to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will depart with picnic lunch and heard to Ngorongoro crater. Explore wildlife in the self-contained ecosystem of Ngorongoro crater.

This is a land of multiple uses where wild animals and human beings have managed to co-exist together in harmony. You will drive more than 600 meters deep to Ngorongoro crater, a fallen mountain believed to erode millions of years ago. You will have game drive to search for various animals from endangered black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, to large flocks of flamingos along Lake Magadi.

You will have lunch in one of the park’s picnic sites then proceed in other areas of the park in search of game viewing opportunities. After this exciting game drive, you will ascend the crater and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Drive to Arusha

You will depart for Arusha after breakfast, on the way, you will witness striking landscapes dotted with traditional villages in search of Arusha town. In the midafternoon you will be arriving in Arusha for lunch before you transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
