Day 1: Arrival – Welcome to Arusha

Just as you set your foot in Tanzania, a representative from Nature in Spirit Travel will meet you at the airport, welcome you to the country and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha which is 1h 30m. As you look to start your safari fresh in the morning, enjoy dinner & overnight at the elegant hotel strategically located in the heart of Arusha.

Day 2: A Flight to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast transfer to Arusha airport, board your 50minutes flight to Serengeti National Park. You will arrive in time for game enroute to camp for lunch. After a delicious lunch at the camp prepare yourself to explore Serengeti as you go for an afternoon game drive at 15:00. You will witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and sheer number of ungulates roaming these grassy plains before you get to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day Serengeti National Park

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s wildlife reserves. This day-long adventure is likely to be the highlight of your stay, as the wonders of the Serengeti reveal themselves. Discover the park’s iconic creatures in the early morning Game Drive. If you will be interested, you can take the opportunity to do optional balloon safari, which concludes with a champagne breakfast in the midst of the grasslands.

After the breakfast proceed with game drive, get to see the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass which provide shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. After a sumptuous buffet hot lunch proceed with the afternoon game drives through the golden grasslands. With luck, spot all of Africa’s “big five”—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo.

At around 17:00, you will drive to the lodge whilst enjoying the sunset on the way. You will have free time around the campfire with a drink as you wait for dinner.

Day 4: Game en route to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, at 07:00am, you will depart for game enroute while heading to Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic meal. You will have an opportunity to visit a Maasai boma en route and get to know the semi-nomadic Maasai, one of East Africa’s most well-known icons. Spend some time interacting with them and learning about their traditions and culture.

You will have afternoon game drive and get to explore wildlife in the self-contained ecosystem of Ngorongoro crater. This is a land of multiple uses where wild animals and human beings have managed to co-exist together in harmony. You will drive more than 600 meters deep to Ngorongoro crater, a fallen mountain believed to erode more than millions of years ago. You will have a full day game drive to search for various animals from endangered black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, to large flocks of flamingos along Lake Magadi.

Late in the afternoon at 17:00 after an eventful game viewing day, you will ascend the crater and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Drive back to Arusha for lunch and flight to Zanzibar

After breakfast you will drive to Mto wa Mbu local market where you will get to meet the local people, if interested you will have time to visit few gift shops on your way to Arusha to buy some souvenirs.

After lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge, you will have a short transfer of 10 minutes to Arusha Airport where you will catch your flight to Zanzibar.

The flight to Zanzibar will take at most 1h30m. As you land in Zanzibar, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will spend today’s night. The transfer takes almost 50 minutes, prepare yourself to see how people in the Coast live alongside the road as you drive to the hotel.

Your guide can recommend an interesting local restaurant for you to enjoy your meal. Known for its seafood, Zanzibar is the perfect place to taste traditional sea cuisines while in Tanzania.

Day 6: Morning in Leisure & Sunset cruise

After breakfast morning in leisure, make a choice on your own on any sea activity that you would like to do at this beautiful beach.

You will end your day around 4:30pm appreciating one of the prettiest sunset cruises in Nungwi beach on a traditional dhow sailboat where you can relax with included drinks and snacks for two hours and watch the sun set in the paradise of Nungwi Beach. You will then drive back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 7: Snorkeling & Dolphins Tour with Barbeque Lunch

This is a fascinating day for snorkeling and dolphins’ trip, complemented by barbeque lunch in the sea.

After breakfast, you will be met by a local scholar who will brief you about today’s pursuits. Before setting out for this enchanting tour, you will also get provided with all necessary snorkeling equipment.

During the experience, your guide, boat captain and his assistant will be helpful in showing you the best spots around. With a bit of luck, you will be able to see Dolphins up close. These are social and friendly mammals that you can even get just meters away from them, however with caution and respect.

Sit for a tasty barbeque lunch after today’s astonishing experience drive to the hotel.

You are free to explore Zanzibar on your own, interact with other travelers at the hotel, or retreat to your accommodation to rest before tomorrow’s explorations.

Day 8: Day in Leisure

After breakfast you have a full day ahead on your own, make the most of your explorations in Zanzibar on this day in leisure or relax on the white sand beach and swimming in the beautiful turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

Dinner will be on your own, ask around for recommendations for fantastic restaurants serving Zanzibari cuisine. Enjoy this evening’s freedom to explore Zanzibar on your own. Take a stroll through the city at night or enjoy a drink at the hotel bar with your traveling companions while you get a feel for the atmosphere.

Day 9: Morning at leisure and transfer to the airport

Today marks the end of your Tanzania tour.

Enjoy your last breakfast & sunrise in Zanzibar and get prepared for the airport transfer for a flight to Dar es Salaam to connect with international flights.
