Day 1 – Arrival – Welcome to Arusha

Just as you set your foot in Tanzania, a representative from Nature in Spirit Travel will meet you at the airport, welcome you to the country and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.

As you look to start your safari fresh in the morning, enjoy dinner & overnight at the elegant Kibo Palace Hotel, strategically located in the heart of Arusha.

Day 2 – Tarangire National Park

After early breakfast, embark on your adventurous journey in Tarangire National Park. This park has a worldwide reputation for surprising large herds of elephants and medieval baobab trees. It draws its name from Tarangire River, the only permanent source of water in the park that spans approximately 2,850 square kilometers. Among many, Tarangire National Park is home to numerous species of animals, birds and flora.

On your game drive along the Tarangire River, search for zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, dik-diks, impalas, elands, grant’s gazelles, monkeys, banded mongooses, olive baboons, lions, leopards, cheetahs, caracals, honey badgers and many more.

African wild dogs can be also rarely spotted in Tarangire National Park, hunting for their preys.

Later in the afternoon, you will do game en-route to your accommodation.

Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Simba Camp, an enchanting tented camp located near Sangaiwe entry gate to Tarangire National Park.

Day 3 – Maasai Visit & Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, set off for a cultural experience outside Tarangire National Park and, later in the afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park.

Meet the semi-nomads Maasai, one of the East African world-known icons. Take your time to interact with them and experience their culture and traditions.

Continue with your journey to Mto wa Mbu village for a local lunch.  Another great opportunity to learn about the Tanzanians’ lifestyle and meet amazing people. After lunch, you will proceed to nearby Lake Manyara National Park well known for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingoes along the lake.

Here you will see the Great Rift Valley escarpment, flowering plants, an evergreen forest and the shallow alkaline Lake Manyara that makes the park spectacular with many photographing opportunities.

Tree-climbing lions can be spotted in Lake Manyara National Park although seeing them is a game chance. Other predators that can be seen here include African wild cats, spotted hyenas, jackals, servals, leopards etc.

Lake Manyara National Park is also home to thousands of herbivores such as zebras, gazelles, buffalos, bushbucks, waterbucks, giraffes, baboons, hippopotamus, elephants, warthog and many others.

You will end the day listening to amazing bird sounds from trees and gardens of Kudu Lodge where you will spend your next 2 nights.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro crater

Explore wildlife in the self-contained ecosystem of Ngorongoro crater.

This is a land of multiple uses where wild animals and human beings have managed to co-exist together in harmony.

You will drive more than 600 meters deep to Ngorongoro crater, a fallen mountain believed to erode more than millions of years ago.

You will have a full day game drive to search for various animals from endangered black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, old bulls elephants, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, to large flocks of flamingos along Lake Magadi.

Late in the afternoon after an eventful game viewing day, you will return back to Kudu Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Hot lunch at Arusha Coffee lodge – Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will drive back to Arusha town for hot lunch at Arusha Coffee lodge then transfer to the nearby Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

As you land in Zanzibar, you will be transferred to Maru Maru Zanzibar hotel where you will spend today’s night.

Dinner on your own.

Main destination: Zanzibar Island

Day 6 – Stone town walking tour

Wake up today in an island filled with fascinating ancient history, have breakfast and leave for a town tour in Stone town, perhaps the oldest town in East Africa.

Stone town the capital of Zanzibar sultanate became famously used as the principal centre of spice & slave trade during the 19th century.

Even after the establishment of colonial rule, Stone town remained the main city of Zanzibar.

Among many, you will learn Zanzibarians way of living, then have countless photographing opportunities along the tour.

Eating dinner in the fish market is a great opportunity, our guests embrace it as a way of trying local dishes. From Zanzibar Pizza, Biryani ya Zanzibar, Chipsi Mayai, to Pilau rice, Zanzibar gives you a variety when it comes to spiced local dishes.

Day 7 – Spice farm visit & Nungwi beach sunset

After breakfast, hit the road to spice farms, and transfer to Nungwi beach for incomparable sunsets.

As you may be aware, Zanzibar is sometimes referred as spice islands and rightful so due to its huge production of spices such as nutmeg, vanilla, ginger, pepper and cinnamon. A visit to spice farms today will allow you to learn more about each specie.

In the afternoon continue to The Z Hotel Zanzibar for lunch where you will spend your next 3 nights.

You will end your day appreciating one of the prettiest sunset cruises in Nungwi beach.

Day 8 & 9 – Full day on your own

Plan for any activity of your choice during these two days.

Claiming a spot on CNN’s list of “100 best beaches of the world”, Nungwi beach gives you the luxury to choose countless activities such as walking tours, diving excursions, parasailing, snorkeling and village tours. You can book the activity you like directly to the hotel.

Day 10 – Morning at leisure and transfer to the airport

Today marks the end of your Tanzania tour.
