Day 1 – Arrival – Arusha

As you arrive in Tanzania, you will be transferred to a small boutique hotel located just outside Arusha City Centre. Get to know your guide as you drive from the airport to Arusha, a city much loved due to its cool weather.

Day 2 – Walk Through Arusha Villages to Waterfall and Cooking Lesson

A day filled with breathtaking excursions begins with a walk through Arusha villages to Mount Meru waterfall. You will also get involved in a cooking lesson and end the day practicing coffee confection and degustation.

The experience to hike to the waterfall (around 3h walk) gives you some sort of adventure as you get the opportunity to explore the beautiful scenery of the countryside of Arusha Region. On the clear sky, you will be able to view spectacular highs of Mount Kilimanjaro.

You are then invited into a local home where you will take part in the exclusive experience of preparing at least two African dishes. Your host will show you different ingredients and their use, afterward, you will enjoy the local food you had a hand on preparing.

After cooking & local lunch experience, explore the entertaining coffee tour in a small family-run farm and participate in the entire process of preparing coffee from picking the beans, to roasting them by a small fire. After crushing them, enjoy your delicious and authentic homemade cup of coffee.

Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Full Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

Embark on the scenic journey to the Northern zone’s 2nd largest national park, Tarangire for a full day game drive.

On the way to Tarangire National Park, get another sneak preview of the life of Tanzanians just as you see them continuing with their day to day activities. You will reach the park within 2h30 and start your game along the Tarangire River, the main source of water in the park which tends to draw a lot of wildlife.

Wonder through Tarangire’s ancient baobab trees believed to be over 1000 years old, the common trees that dots the whole park giving unique game viewing spots and photographing opportunities.

After lunch, continue to different locations of this 3,000 square kilometers in size park, seeking the large herds of elephants, another common feature of Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire gives you a good opportunity to spot various bird species that more than 500 species have been spotted to date. Other animals from giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests are common in the park. Lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas can also be seen, although it is not guaranteed due to thick vegetation in the park.

Before the sunset, you will be heading to Simba Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Cultural Experience with Maasai & Game Drive in Lake Manyara

In the morning, journey through Tarangire National Park borders and meet the Maasai community as you look to explore their life and even participate in some of their day to day activities such as milking the cows and women doing beads work.

During your time with Maasai, you will get to dive deep into their distinctive history and lifestyle, being among the icons of the Eastern African ethnic group. Relish the experience of drinking milk you have just participated in preparing, before heading to the small vibrant town of Mto wa Mbu for another local lunch experience that will prepare you well for the next voyage to another beautiful park of the country, Lake Manyara National Park.

Observe a great variety of species, primates, elephants and birds in the spectacular park filled with varieties of evergreen flora. Big cats are also available in Lake Manyara National Park, notably the unique tree-climbing lions who are rumored to have adapted to this unlike feline behavior as the means to spot prey in Lake Manyara thickets. However, spotting the big cats in Lake Manyara National Park is not guaranteed.

As the afternoon draws close, you will drive into Kudu Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Lake Eyasi Morning Tour & Local School Visit

Today after breakfast, fancy an enchanting journey to the awe-inspiring Lake Eyasi, enjoy the local lunch at Karatu town, end your day in a local school as you experience up close the Tanzania’s lifestyle, up close!

Lake Eyasi is perfectly located on the floor of Eastern Arm of the Great Rift Valley, a famous oldest rift in the world believed to have existed more than 65 million years ago, just before the extinction of dinosaurs!

Get to meet the Datoga & Hadzabe tribes around Lake Eyasi, where your guide will narrate to you the mouthwatering history of these two tribes who have refused to evolve from hunting and gathering lifestyle. Witnessing their cave-based houses will give you great photographing opportunities just as you look to drive back to Karatu town for a local lunch.

A local school visit will follow shortly in this small town of Karatu where you will observe the African way of passing the knowledge to the young.

In the late afternoon, you will drive towards Kudu Lodge where the evening is at your leisure.

Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crater Morning Game Drive

Today you will drive down to one of the 7 natural wonders of Africa, Ngorongoro Crater, where you will have an opportunity to search for the big 5 animals, then continue for a game en route to Serengeti National Park in the afternoon.

More than a million years ago, today’s Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest inactive caldera used to be among the tallest Mountains in Africa before volcanic forces took their course to dramatically sank it.

Before you start a fascinating game en route to Serengeti National Park, you will have a chance to find wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, elands, grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, old bulls elephants and lions. You will also see scavengers like spotted hyenas or jackals in the park, and maybe have a glorious opportunity to spot the endangered & rare black rhinos.

After lunch, continue to enjoyable journey towards Serengeti central as you look to leave behind the Northern parts of Ngorongoro Conservation. This is among the most loved game en route due to its wildlife-filled scenery.

Reach Osinon Tented Camp in the evening and relax ready in this stylish camp where you will spend the next two nights. Dinner and overnight at Osinon Tented Camp.

Day 7 – Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Today after breakfast, start a full-day exploration of Serengeti National Park believed to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa.

The awe-inspiring central Serengeti, famously known as the Big Cats headquarters, is an outstanding wildlife zone that you can spend weeks without getting tired of it. Stop around the Seronera Valley for a delicious lunch in the African wilderness as you scan the surroundings for game viewing opportunities.

Being the main source of water in the Central Serengeti, the Seronera River attracts thousands of wild animals from ungulates to big predators making overwhelming game viewing moments.

Big cats, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, hippos and crocodiles just to name a few are among the wildlife to decorate your eyes today in this award-winning UNESCO World Heritage site. In the evening you will head back to Osinon Tented Camp for dinner & overnight.

Day 8 – Morning Game Drive in Serengeti National Park and Drive to Karatu

Enjoy your breakfast today as you look to explore Serengeti National Park, en route to Karatu town.

Serengeti National Park is one of those few destinations in the world where you can spend weeks without coming close to seeing it all. It is no wonder the first conquerors of the park, semi-nomads Maasai baptized this 14,763 square kilometres park ‘Siringeti’ which means an endless plain in Maasai Language.

Enjoy your lunch on the road as you travel through the park known to host more than 2 million wildebeests, over 500,000 zebras and the largest population of lions in Africa.

You will arrive at Kudu Lodge in the evening and enjoy your meal & overnight

Day 9 – Drive Back to Arusha for lunch and fly home

Leaving Karatu in the morning after breakfast, travel through wilderness and striking landscapes dotted with traditional villages in the search of Arusha town.

In the midafternoon, you will arrive at Asili resort for a farewell lunch with your guide and a representative from Nature in spirit travel. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
