Day 1: Full Day Game Drive in Arusha National Park

Your exploration of Tanzania wildlife starts today after breakfast at your hotel.

You will depart with your hot lunch well packed in the hampers, all the way to one of the smallest parks in Tanzania but very rich in sightseeing, Arusha National Park.

Departing from Arusha city to Arusha national park will take you about 1h45m and when you are there at the home of Mount Meru, your guide will find the perfect place for you to explore the scenic views of the roof of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Treat yourself with a good view of buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, birds, and some varieties of monkeys all in Ngurdoto crater famously known as “mini Ngorongoro”

Enjoy your hot meal in the afternoon and continue voyaging different areas of the park. There’s also an opportunity to visit alkaline Momella lakes within the park where you have good chances of seeing flamingos.

Proceed to Gran Melia Arusha Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive at Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast you will start a 2h30m adventurous journey towards Lake Manyara National Park. Here you will appreciate its scenic flora as you search for different game viewing spots.

Bird watching is at its best in April as the migratory birds from Europe and Asia meet their Tanzania colleagues. If you love flamingos, beautiful colored birds with bewitching songs, this is the perfect day.

Although Lake Manyara National Park lions are fond of trees (perhaps envious of their close competitor, leopards!?) this is pretty rare and it isn’t often spotted on every safari.

The good thing is, there is still a lot to see in Lake Manyara National Park from giraffes, elephants, hippos, impalas, zebras, Cape buffalo etc.

In the late afternoon, drive to The Manor at Ngorongoro for dinner & overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater

Today set off for a full day tour in Ngorongoro Conservation area where wild animals and human beings co-exist together in harmony.

Before your hot lunch in the midst of the jungle, encounter a lifetime experience of descending the floor of Ngorongoro crater, a unique self-contained ecosystem often referred as the 8th natural wonder of the world.

On your way down, discover the striking views of the Ngorongoro highlands, appreciating the crater beautiful breathtaking scenery of the crater from the oblique angle.

You will spend the afternoon on the floor of the crater, exploring its reach flora and fauna. Since the crater has a permanent supply of food and water, animals stay inside all year round, increasing your chances to spot as many animals as possible.

While game drive is a game of chances, this is the best place to see the rare endangered black rhinos as well as flamingos who tend to concentrate at Lake Magadi.

Other animals that can be seen in the crater include Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, elephants, lions, buffaloes etc.

Later in the late afternoon, you will drive out of the crater and continue to &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti Ndutu Area

After breakfast, you will spend your morning driving to the Southern ends of Serengeti National Park, Ndutu area for a game drive.

This is a land where unforgiving wildlife nature take its course as the predators look to take advantage of recently born young wildebeests, gazelles and zebras.

As you reach Ndutu, your guide will find a perfect spot in the middle of nowhere, pull out the folded tables & chairs, and take hamper from the vehicle stocked with cutleries, plates, napkins to give you the home lunching experience whilst in the African wilderness.

You will explore Lake Ndutu, the alkaline lake that attracts a wide range of wildlife that come around to drink and for cooling off their bodies.

Continue searching for the best game viewing spots across Ndutu, which is usually heavily populated with elephants, wildebeests, Zebra, antelopes and big cats especially from December to April.

As the dusk draws close, you will leave the Ndutu Lake behind you as you drive back to Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game Drive in Ndutu Area, Game En-route Four Seasons Serengeti Lodge

After a delicious breakfast, head out to enjoy a full day game drive in the Ngorongoro Ndutu Region, following the herds of wildebeests, Zebras and Gazelles who will be culminating the famous calving season.

Few last babies will be born. This is after nearly half a million of them had already been born from January, forming the sea of ungulates that attracts hungry predators, making live kill a possibility to spot.

You might also be aware that, you are permitted to drive off-road here looking for the best wildlife viewing opportunities.
Enjoy your hot lunch before going on with an exploration of awesome sights of the great vibrant herds of wildebeest, zebras and antelopes.

The blanket of grass is advantageous for the herds as it provides little cover for predators as well as providing much-needed nutrients to the calves who are able to run minutes after they are born and within 3 days, they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herds.

After an eventful day, drive back to Four Seasons Serengeti Lodge in central Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive & Fly to Zanzibar

Today after breakfast, drive en-route to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar.

As soon as you touch the ground of the spice islands of Zanzibar you will be transferred to Gran Melia Zanzibar for overnight.

Dinner on your own.

Main destination: Zanzibar

Day 7: Full Day at Jozani Forest & Spice Tour

Today you will travel down to Jozani Forest in Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, the only national park in Zanzibar located in the South East of Stone Town, ending your day with a spices farm visit.

In this nature walk across Jozani forest, you will have an amazing experience of interacting with nature. From the majestic mangrove trees to the massive forest, Jozani is a freak of nature that gives you the luxury of seeing friendly red colobus Monkeys.

Sit for a picnic lunch then continue to spice farms. Zanzibar archipelago is sometimes referred as the “Spice Islands” due to its massive production of cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and black pepper.

You will learn different processes for growing these world-renowned spices, their uses and even trying them.

Return back to Gran Melia Zanzibar for overnight.

Again, dinner is on your own, a great opportunity to try traditional Swahili dishes.

Zanzibar Pizza, Biryani ya Zanzibar, Chipsi Mayai, Pilau rice, which are popular street foods, are way different from what rest of the world considers as pizza, Biryani, chips, and rice respectively. Sometimes these dishes are served with fish and vegetables cooked with spices like cardamom, cloves, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, and cumin.

Day 8: Snorkeling & Dolphins Tour with Barbeque Lunch

This is a fascinating day for snorkeling and dolphins’ trip, complemented by barbeque lunch in the sea.

After breakfast, you will be met by a local scholar who will brief you about today’s pursuits. Before setting out for this enchanting tour, you will also get provided with all necessary snorkeling equipment.

During the experience, your guide, boat captain and his assistant will be helpful in showing you the best spots around. With a bit of luck, you will be able to see Dolphins up close. These are social and friendly mammals that you can even get just meters away from them, however with caution and respect.

Sit for a tasty barbeque lunch after today’s astonishing experience and drive back to Gran Melia Zanzibar for overnight. Dinner on your own.

Day 10: Morning at leisure and transfer to the airport
